Safety first: chains with protection

Featuring finger and component protection, the new Elite power and free conveyor chains are gentle with chain components and conveyed goods as well as boosting safety.

Used mainly in feeding systems, automation engineering and to provide gentle transportation of workpiece carriers, for example, power and free conveyor chains are exceptionally versatile. They are used as links between stations of a production or assembly line, in warehouses and in a wide range of material flow systems - wherever workpieces, finished products, pallets, containers or crates need to be moved, stored, accelerated or separated along defined routes.

Standard power and free conveyor chains have an enlarged conveying roller every other segment, which transports the conveyed materials and allows the chain to pass underneath queued material without damaging it. The chain bushings, which are attached to the inner chain links, take up the spaces between the conveying rollers. On the new Elite power and free conveyor chains these bushings cover the spaces between the conveying rollers almost fully in order to provide a complete protection for chain components and conveyed goods. They stop small parts getting into the chain links and jamming the rollers or links, and prevent friction wear of the conveying rollers as well as friction damage to the conveyed goods. These special power and free chains also make a significant contribution to enhancing safety at work, preventing fingers from getting accidentally trapped between the chain rollers.
